After 10 years, the average homeowner will save over 60 thousand gallons of water.

The attached paper shows that interploid hybrids (polyploid x diploid), on average, required 80% less water than diploid to maintain over 50% percent green cover; 159 L/m2 ‑for diploids vs 30 L/m2for interploid (Table 7). Cobalt is an interploid hybrid. Unfortunately, it was not included in this study. However, if one extrapolates the results, the calculation of water savings from using Cobalt will be as much as 6,000 gallons per year per household.
